We are proud to partner with Givers Health to offer three sessions facilitated by a clinical expert!

These are group sessions via Zoom, facilitated by a clinical expert, where you will be able to discuss and learn from other caregivers.

Communication & Conflict Resolution

Share your experiences with resolving conflicts and practice problem solving, using skills including active listening & empathy.

June 17, 6-7pm


Dementia Progression

Learn how the disease progresses and how you can respond in your caregiving at each stage.

July 21, 6-7pm

Navigating Healthcare & Accessing Available Benefits

Learn about common services, support, and coverage options and ways to access them. 

August 20, 6-7pm

Participants must be eligible for the Medicare GUIDE program. Upon registration, we will confirm your eligibility for this covered session.

June & July sessions will be facilitated by Rebecca V. Hoden, DNP, RN, CHPN, GERO-BC

  • Rebecca is a dedicated nursing leader and educator with 25+ years of experience and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). She is a dual board-certified expert in Hospice and Palliative Care nursing, as well as Gerontology nursing. Since discovering at age 17 that nursing was her calling, she has been committed to equipping caregivers, patients, and future healthcare professionals through expert communication and training. Rebecca has extensive experience supporting vulnerable populations across diverse cultural frameworks in the United States and internationally, especially working with families of people living with dementia. Rebecca brings lived experiences as a family caregiver and lifelong musician, which have helped to shape her ability to connect with people and meet them wherever they are in their caregiving journeys. 

August session will be facilitated by Tara English, MBA

  • Tara English, MBA, is the Founder & CEO of Givers Health and an expert on Medicare, Medicaid, IHSS, and other community-based benefits, particularly in California and the Bay Area. She's worked with hundreds of family caregivers directly on benefit and care questions, and has access to a network of eldercare attorneys, geriatric care managers, clinicians, and social workers. She received her MBA from UC Berkeley and her BA from Northwestern University. For the session on Navigating Healthcare & Accessing Available Benefits, Tara will be joined by a Certified Medicaid Planner (CMP) and Benefits specialist.
